Brian Volz

Brian joins Team KoloFit after spending 12 years instructing strength and conditioning as well as coaching football at both the high school and collegiate level.

Most recently, Brian was the Co-Defensive Coordinator / Recruiting Coordinator and Defensive Line Coach at North Greenville University.  He is dedicated and passionate about bringing the best out of people and loves bringing that same energy to KoloFit.

Before his time at NGU, Brian worked on the Western Carolina University football staff. While in Cullowhee, Brian worked with the Defensive Line and Outsider Linebackers. His other coaching stops landed him at Greensboro College and Smoky Mountain High School, where he started.

During Brian’s time coaching, he worked with multiple All-Conference and All-American athletes. One of which was Chauncy Haney, who was selected in the 3 Round of the 2022 USFL Draft by the Birmingham Stallions. The Stallions later went on to win the 2022 USFL Championship.

Originally from Granite Falls, NC, Brian attended Western Carolina University where he earned a pair of degrees in Business Management and Marketing with a minor in Political Science. Brian was a standout on the Rugby pitch, leading WCU in tries his junior and senior years.

In his free time, Brian loves to spend time outside and traveling with his fiancé, Taylor and their oversized Bernedoodle, Brody.
